Posh 5 star hotel, recently refurbished
There are a number of things to admire about the St Petersbourg hotel.
This is the oldest operational hotel in Tallinn and was opened in 1850. This is the newest 5 star property in Tallinn and has 2 great restaurants, the Kuldse Kõrts Kõrts which serves authentic Estonian cuisine and the Hermitage which serves great Russian cuisine, the Hermitage featured on the list of the 50 Best Estonian Restaurants in 2008 and in 2015.

The St Petersbourg hotel might be a boutique hotel but it still gives guests quite a few options to pick from when deciding on what room to stay in. Some of the rooms on offer include classic rooms, superior rooms, deluxe rooms, and junior and hotel suites. Since the hotel has recently gone through a makeover, all the rooms look brand new and have a mix of Russian hospitality and modern amenities. The biggest difference in most of the rooms is the size of the room. It is important to highlight that none of the hotel rooms or suite have a king size bed and the best you can get is a queen size bed.

The Hotel is situated at the center of the Old Town and hence guests will find it very easy to visit some of the popular landmarks on the tourist trail.

Sightseeing around the Old Town of Tallinn can prove to be quite exhausting. There are a number of ways one can relax and unwind at the hotel and one of them is enjoying the sauna. Guests who stay at the hotel have free access to the sauna from 7 am to 11 am provided that they reserve a slot in advance.

The sauna at the St. Petersbourg hotel has a European touch to it and offers complimentary bottled water, essential oils, shower gels and bathrobes. Usually when you book the sauna in advance, you tend to get it all to yourself.

"Superbly renovated hotel. Rooms very well appointed and attentive staff at all times. Ideal location in old town. Would thoroughly recommend."
5-star hotel, housed in 13th and 14th century buildings
The Schlössle
The Schlössle features spacious rooms with a unique design that makes use of the highest quality wood and fabric.
The Schlössle is a unique, classy 5-star hotel, housed in 13th and 14th century buildings in central Tallinn.

The large windows here are a nice touch since medieval buildings tend to have very small windows. Murals decorate the old stone walls in the lobby, which is lit up by tiny lamps and a warm fireplace.

Guests who are busy or tired after a day of sightseeing around the Old Town, can relax in the hotel and have their meal at the popular Stenhus Restaurant. While the food and beverage industry is extremely competitive in the Old Town, the Stenhus continues to be a popular spot with its live band most weekends.

Estonia can get really cold and during this time, guests will be able to warm themselves up at the Sauna which is a big part of Estonian culture. If you stay at the Schlossle, then do make a trip to the Sauna or pay a visit to the spa and indulge yourself in some relaxing massages.

If you are planning to visit Estonia, then we think that the Schlössle will be a great choice considering the fact that it has recently been refurbished. This five star property now has all brand new facilities and is in top condition.

"Everything about this hotel is amazing. Sure, you're paying for the 5* treatment but it's worth every penny. The breakfast room is absolutely stunning, the sauna is great and the staff are very friendly."
5 star spa hotel
The Telegraaf Hotel has received plenty of great ratings and reviews, which I fully agree with.
The Telegraaf Hotel is based in a unique building with a very rich and interesting history, this was, in fact, once the base of Estonia's very first telegraph office. Overall, this is an excellent hotel, there are 86 modern rooms, designed in Modern Art style with Art Deco touches.

The hotel has a beautiful summer terrace, apart from being spacious, it also has grass on the floor, where many other hotels only have paved courtyards.

The exclusive spa, Elemis, is one of the best available and offers a calm, relaxing environment to the world-weary. It includes a sauna, steam bath, and a hot tub. Guests can also request beauty treatments. The indoor heated pool provides the perfect opportunity for a private dip. Admission to the spa is free for hotel guests.

Restaurant Tchaikovsky has often received awards as one of Estonia's best restaurants. In fact, in 2015, it was voted one of The 50 Best Restaurants in Estonia. It is run under the guidance of Executive Chef Vladislav Djatšuk. It offers a wonderfully chic Russian atmosphere, serving Russian and French dishes on its elaborate menu.

"Extremely convenient location; lovely decor; comfortable room and bed; Tchaikovsky restaurant in hotel was a plus."
Luxury boutique accommodation in a medieval style hotel
The Three Sisters is widely known throughout the hospitality industry and is often mentioned in reviews as a noteworthy luxury hotel in Europe and Estonia.
For luxury boutique accommodation in a 14th century building, The Three Sisters does not disappoint. Each individually decorated room has a unique design that combines both the hotel's history and a contemporary style. Even the works of art are carefully chosen to create a particular atmosphere. Wood and natural materials feature prominently in each room. In fact, the rooms themselves have some nice peculiarities. In one, you might find a rounded wall; in another, a niche; in a third, a tiny balcony, or a second floor. You just never know, so each time you visit, you can have a new experience. It also adds to the historical feel of the building.

Guests can dine at Restaurant Bordoo or 3S Restaurant or enjoy cocktails and other drinks at Beluga Bar or the Lobby Bar. From May to September, the courtyard garden is open for meals as well.

Located on Pikk street, which in the 15th century was the Central artery of Tallinn, the hotel is a short distance from Tallinn's Town Hall on Raekoja Plats and St Mary's Cathedral.

"Everything was more than great! Hotel staff was really helpfull and kind, they even arrenge just the room I asked. Breakfast was good, there was everything you need for a proper morning."
High-quality experience in a central location
Swissôtel Tallinn ranks among the best luxury hotels in Tallinn.
The Swissotel is a high-quality hotel found in the middle of Tallinn business district. The location is important not only for the convenience of reaching all the best attractions but also for the magnificent panoramic views afforded by the hotel rooms overlooking different parts of Tallinn and the Gulf of Finland.

The hotel itself is not in an overcrowded spot, there are fewer tourists out here and you'll be able to have a nice stroll in the modern part of Tallinn, but most guests will prefer to make the 10-minute walk to Old Town.

The spa area for hotel guests, Purovel Spa and Sport, is both comfortable and functional. There is a small fitness center on site, as well as a sauna and a small indoor pool.

The spa also includes an indoor pool, sauna, steam bath, and two spa treatment rooms.

The Horisont Restaurant offers excellent food but as a result of its popularity with business travelers and the locals, it can be difficult to get a reservation.

The Swiss café offers a smaller choice of dishes but is also very good. If all you need is a quiet place to drink some coffee and talk with business partners or colleagues, the lobby bar is an excellent venue.

"The swimming pool in the 11th floor was an unusual and interesting change comparing to the usual spas. After the staff changed the room the view on the 29th floor was quite good. I can say now that I have stayed in highest hotel room in Tallinn."
Perfect business class hotel
Unless you're seeking a boutique hotel experience, this hotel is the whole package and makes a terrific first-class option.
The Radisson manages two hotels in Tallinn, but I like this one best of all. I loved the spacious suites with their fantastic view over Old Town and had no complaints about anything at this hotel.

The spa can be found on the 24th floor. It offers a range of body treatments, hand and foot treatments, massages, facials, and beauty treatments. Ayurvedic treatments as well as anti aging and anti stress treatments are offered too. Only the highest quality products are used for lasting results. All facials begin with a consultation to evaluate the client's skin and determine the correct treatments to best meet its needs. The beautician may also provide suggestions for products that can be used at home to maintain the treatment's results.

This spa also features a Finnish sauna and steam room with picturesque views of Old Town and the sea. It is open from 9 am to 9 pm every day.

The daily Super Breakfast buffet is hosted at the hotel's Seasons Restaurant, where up to 120 international dishes are served in addition to the traditional English breakfast. Guests in a hurry to grab a quick meal can find exactly that at Harry's New York Bar early in the morning. Later in the day, the bar, located in the hotel lobby, resumes service of trendy cocktails in an intimate setting.

For breathtaking sights of the city while sipping on a cocktail, guests can opt for Lounge 24 instead, which towers a good 90 metres above the streets of Tallinn.

"Great view. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Everything met expectations."
Luxury boutique hotel in the Old Town
The CRU Hotel
The XIV century building can be found on the main street of Tallinn's Old Town.
I am impressed with the CRU, which is a luxury boutique hotel. Every room contains wooden features and antiques, staying here is an experience in itself, adding to the charm of Tallinn.

Because of its central location, there is a noise factor to consider because of the tourists milling around. There isn't much vehicular traffic to contend with since only the locals drive around on these streets and there aren't too many of them living in this neighborhood.

The hotel's restaurant is well worth a visit. Run by a chef holding European and international awards, it offers delicious French and Estonian cuisine.

"Old world charm and distinctiveness. Rooms that had character and make you realise what a poor deal many "modern" hotels are. Would happily go there again."
Top-notch hotel
The Savoy Boutique
I was very impressed with the Savoy as a first-class hotel, the friendly staff provide high standards of service.
Known for its exquisite attention to detail, the Savoy Boutique hotel stands out for both its professional service arrangements and its interior decor, inspired by a chic art-deco movement.

Accentuated by luxurious furnishings, the guest rooms provide convenience and comfort.

The Mekk restaurant is very popular with the locals and is listed as one of the top restaurants in Estonia.
Four-star business and conference hotel
The Nordic Hotel Forum
I liked this hotel's spacious rooms and excellent service.
The Nordic Hotel Forum is often chosen by business travellers and companies that are hosting conferences in Tallinn because of the many options on offer. This four-star business and conference hotel, as it markets itself, provides modern amenities without skimping on the details in its stylish rooms and public spaces.

Hotel management claims the Nordic Hotel Forum is slightly better than your average 4-star establishment. Tallinn's Old Town is within walking distance. The Nordic Hotel Forum is typically advertised as a business hotel; however, this is also a great choice for families with children.

When it's time to unwind after a long day of meetings and chasing deadlines, guests can book time at the spa and salon, where they can treat themselves to all manner of massages and body treatments.
The perfect spot for a family holiday
The Kalev Spa Hotel
The hotel offers 100 comfortable rooms with a view of either Old Town or Kanuti Park.
This is an amazing hotel, as much for the facilities as for the prices. The waterpark is a terrific place to spend the day with friends and family, there's also a huge swimming pool where you can lounge or swim at leisure. The Kalev Spa is the perfect spot for a family holiday.

At the Beauty Centre, guests can opt for professional beauty advice, the services of a hairdresser, or a manicure and pedicure. Several facial and body treatments are available here too, including non-surgical rejuvenating treatments.

The water park contains an 8-lane 50-metre-long pool, a 25-metre-long pool, a children's pool, a paddling pool for toddlers, a large hot tub, a flower bath, and a pearl bath. Three slides are available for the pools.
Great value boutique hotel
You will receive excellent service from the staff.
The Merchant's House impressed me with its style and charm. It's so steeped in history, that it's almost like taking a step back in time to the medieval ages. Each room features plenty of wood and other natural elements, giving it a very rustic feel. The sauna is free, and the restaurant offers delicious meals.

The hotel is comprised of two properties dating back to the 14th and 16th centuries that have been restored without tampering with the original interiors. Some of the special features of the hotel include balconies and hidden staircases; an intriguing array of passageways, a wooden beamed ceiling, an elaborate medieval facade, hand painted fresco molds and fully restored fireplaces.

Most hotels in Tallinn offer spa services as they know their guests arrive to relax and de-stress from the pressures of life. The hotel has a highly trained staff of professional therapists that can offer a number of different massage therapies ranging from a Sweedish massage, a Thai massage, a sports massage and physic techniques that are designed to invigorate the body from head to toe.

Wholesome meals round off the experience at the Merchant's House. In addition to the morning's breakfast buffet, the hotel's restaurant serves both local and global cuisine for dinner, and guests can choose to dine in their room for added privacy. Dietary preferences can be accommodated with advance notice. The Ice Bar and a lounge bar are both star attractions at the hotel and add to the popular mix of bars and restaurants that abound in the surrounding neighborhood.
Stylish set of unique apartments
The Baltic Boutique Apartments
Baltic Boutique Apartments offer a brilliant alternative.
The Baltic Boutique Apartments are a very stylish set of unique apartments housed in a historic building from the 1930s. Each has its own living room and a kitchen, which is ideal for long stays, when you don't want to have to eat out every day. It is rather close to Tallinn's Old Town but the neighborhood is not very glamorous, so there isn't much to see.

I like this option of serviced apartments because it's easily cheaper than a hotel if you have a large group of friends staying together. Although you could easily find apartments available on rent in Tallinn city center, they often tend to be rather small or expensive, especially if they're in the heart of Old Town, some may even be quite run down.
Enjoyable stay on a small budget
The Baltic Hotel Imperial
The guest rooms are stylish and spacious, featuring natural wooden furniture and high-quality fabrics.
The Baltic Hotel Imperial has the perfect location on the edge of Old Town in Tallinn. There is a small park nearby, which is an excellent venue for a daily jog. I especially liked their restaurant, which I thought would be worth visiting even if I didn't live at the hotel. The view from many of the rooms is absolutely gorgeous, and the rooms themselves are very stylish and have high-quality furniture. The hotel creates a wonderful impression of Tallinn's medieval roots.

The Baltic Hotel Imperial offers 10 single rooms, 18 double rooms, a junior suite, two deluxe rooms with a kitchenette and a suite with a private sauna and Jacuzzi.

Special rooms are available for disabled guests and guests with allergies.

While some suites have their own kitchenette, guests can choose to dine at Imperial Pub for breakfast and lunch or just enjoy a round of cocktails. Restaurant St. Michael offers a departure from the norm by styling its entire menu around the world's best cheeses.
Eco-friendly spa hotel
As a member of the Green Key Program, the hotel has worked hard to reduce its impact on the environment. That said, none of the modern-day conveniences have been skipped as part of this effort.
The Von Stackelberg hotel can be found at the foot of Toompea hill, just a short distance away from Toompea Castle and Nevsky Cathedral. Despite its central location, there aren't too many tourists around compared with the Old Town. I'm also very pleased that the hotel was awarded a Green Key certificate in recognition of its concern for the environment. The restaurant serves great Estonian cuisine. The courtyard is another special feature that I adore. For a little outdoor exercise, there's a park nearby, where you can take long walks or jog. Falgi park is the perfect place for young children, where they can find umpteen things to play with.

This luxury lifestyle hotel started out as the city estate of a German-Baltic aristocrat, Baron von Stackelberg. Built in the 19th century, 1874, to be exact, it has its own cozy little corner right next to Estonia's medieval Old Town. It was completely restored from 2010 to 2011 and is always being updated and renovated.

The exclusive ZEN Spa features three treatment rooms (including one for dual treatments), a sauna, and a Japanese pool. Spa services must be booked in advance, at least 90 minutes beforehand.

The spa is open from 9 am to 8 pm daily. Special arrangements can be made for other times. Some of the preferred treatments include Lava stone massage, manicures with OPI gel polish, Golden Veil face treatment, classic massage, honey massage, and time in the sauna with the ZEN pool.
